In a nutshell
Halfords needed to recruit graduates to their retail and commercial schemes.
Halfords needed a cost effective and engaging way to recruit graduates to their two core graduate schemes over a number of years. Competing for the best graduates against other employers, they needed a campaign which sold the opportunity with Halfords and encouraged high quality, relevant applications.
We developed a core concept ‘Scream if you want to go faster’ which reflected the fast pace of the business and the rate of learning and development the scheme offered.
We built them a responsive graduate microsite which link to their applicant tracking system. Video banners on each page reflected the pace of the business and of the scheme.
We developed videos of their graduates telling potential applicants why they should choose the Halfords graduate scheme. We also commissioned original photography.
We developed a media plan and designed creative work which worked alongside the microsite to form an integrated campaign including job board listings, HTML emails and online creative display advertising.
The scheme advertising campaign has been running for two years in its current format and is delivering high quality applications from talented graduates.
