Wellbeing Identity and Packs DF Capital

The Challenge

DF Capital wanted to build a Health and Wellbeing plan incorporating wellbeing packs to show appreciation to their team but also make sure wellbeing was at the forefront of everyone’s priorities.

The health and wellbeing initiative lent itself to having a bespoke identity, so the challenge became how could we combine banking, wellbeing and DF Capital’s move away from a corporate look into a simple identity? With this in mind and taking into account potential issues with access to stock and delivery delays, we set about designing a wellbeing pack to engage and encourage employees to take a break and be aware of their health and wellbeing.

The Solution

The Bringing Balance identity was created, with 'balance' derived from the core goals of health and wellbeing, work and life, as well as a playful nod to banking. This simple message and symmetrical icon, that could be seen as a flower or the sun shining over the hills, worked as an analogy to encourage people to maintain a healthy balance to their lives.

Using the Bringing Balance identity, branded packs contained a mix of items, such as wildflower seeds to grow, tea bags, a candle and healthy snacks. Also included was a personal note from the CEO to say thank you and emphasise key messages. We designed bespoke wellbeing cards – 52 cards of affirmations, advice and positivity to use daily, weekly or whenever needed.

The Result

80 boxes were delivered directly to the whole DF Capital team across the UK, arriving around Random Acts of Kindness Day. The surprise packs were well received with employees taking to social media to share messages such as these:

“Working from home for the best part of 12 months can be challenging at times. A lovely postal surprised to encourage us all to be aware of our wellbeing. Ties in really well with this week being the Random Acts of Kindness.”

“It’s often a series of little things that make a big difference… #dfcapital #greatplace2work”
