BNP Paribas Leasing Solutions were on a journey of real and positive change. With a new CEO in place there had been a great deal of investment in reshaping the narrative with customers, becoming more efficient and repositioning the business as an expert partner in the eyes of those customers. However, we wanted to take the opportunity to balance the external narrative with some more effective internal communication and engagement – after all it was the BNP staff in Bristol and Basingstoke who were delivering every day on the promises made to customers. We wanted to thank them for their contribution, to show the progress of the journey so far and to invest more in their working environment and employment experience. The staff had to ‘buy’ the BNP brand every day and so we needed to reflect that.
In addition to helping them shape and deliver their 'All Staff December Conference', we brought the BNP Paribas brand to life internally in two memorable and lasting ways. Firstly, we developed a superior quality hardback book ‘Our journey so far’ – a celebration of the positive change process underway. Secondly, we used the office refurbishments to greatly enhance both the environment and the internal messaging. We highlighted the Company’s purpose and the significant contribution they make to their customers and the UK economy; we reinforced the Company values in an engaging and professional way; and we also used humour and more personal messaging in the common areas and meeting rooms.
This was a celebration, enabling us to bring together all that was good about the change taking place at BNP Paribas Leasing Solutions. Change is still ongoing but this was a valuable opportunity to pause, reflect, recognise and refuel – bringing the brand to life in the hearts and minds of all staff.
