The MD had formulated a new vision plan for TC, an office furniture company, but needed help to brand and communicate it to the business so that staff at all levels would not just understand it but be energised and excited by it.
There was a lot of information and we had to find a way to make the launch memorable and engaging. Staff needed to walk out of the event with a clear understanding of the direction of the firm and the role we needed them to play. TC wanted to hit a sales target by the year 2020 so we highlighted three drivers to get them to this point, namely 'Develop' the best people in the business, 'Deliver' the best service and 'Deliver' x sales to become the biggest supplier in the industry. Our solution was to call the three drivers the '3D's which we then linked to the 2020 vision.
We needed more however. As a bit of theatre and fun, all staff were supplied with comedy glasses the day before the presentation. However on the morning of the launch, staff were supplied with 3D glasses and asked to bring them to the presentation which was also in 3D as was the brochure for the day.
DNA rewrote the presentation with the MD to make it an emotionally engaging event, not just a presentation. We wanted to make memories, not just deliver a message. We wanted to build pride and passion and create momentum, not just ‘run through the slides’.
We promised the MD that everyone would walk out an inch taller and with their chests puffed out with pride. We promised him that some would have a lump in their throat or even have a tear in their eye. We promised him that, in terms of the vision, people would 'get it' and be eager to get on with it. And that's exactly what happened.
